Yeah but he was 91 years old. It would depend on what his sense of humor was like, but if he was the kind of guy who would do something like that I don't think it's inappropriate to joke about it just because he recently passed.

I get that, but Gundy's reaction is pretty telling.
I'm not saying the joke is always in poor form or that we on a message board shouldn't find it funny. I'm just saying it was tactless to make that joke in that context.

I think the main point of the joke was that Gundy and Boone Pickens did not get along. They were often sniping at each other in the press. Pickens left him to coach because he thought Grundy was a very good coach and good for Oklahoma State.

If ya'll need a good laugh, go to Tiger rant. They are doing some top notch whining about the 11am kickoff. It was funny when Bama had it, but it sure isn't now

I just dont understand this at all, last week they talked all kinds of shite about how we should never complain about 11 am games. Then they turn around and get one and now they want to leave the SEC, makes no sense.

It makes perfect sense to a lot of LSU fans. It's just more of the same old victim mentality that's so rampant among them. And somehow Bama and it's REC is always the evil culprit, no matter what they're victims of.
