And you're going to play early pretty much guaranteed. UA played 17 freshmen yesterday.

Definitely need an elite WR in this class. Need to keep up with Clemson Ohio State LSU who are overloading on big fast receivers.
I like Bell and Holden but that’s not enough to keep up.
Can’t say how excited I am about our QB recruiting Young and Maye with Taulia already on board. We set!

I’d love to snag a 5 star TE, RB and WR in this class to go along with what we have. With any remaining spots, stack the defensive class. And if there’s an elite punter out there, we need to find him. Our punting is shameful.

I am excited about Bryce flipping and entertained at the clamouring to immediately fill the rest of the class with 5 star offensive skill talent. Burch, Webb, Jackson, Banks, Joseph etc. it was a pleasure recruiting you but now that we have Bryce your services are no longer needed.

Nah, I think the 5 star offensive talent that reportedly wants in with Young means some other dudes will be getting bumped out of the class. I won’t name names, but it’s not hard to figure out who has to go if we start getting guys like Gilbert and McClellan. Still room for a great defensive haul.

Gilbert has TE size with big WR athleticism, route running and ball skills and we're the team to beat for him. We're firmly in the mix for big & fast WR Xzavier Henderson and smaller elite WRs Arian Smith and Kayshon Boutte. I hope Young's flip also reignites Jermaine Burton's interest -- that boy good.

Alabama should have absolutely zero problems getting elite players to our program. Just hope we don't get anymore Alfano types.

I specifically asked a LONG TIME recruiting guru that often speaks at Bama functions recently about Burton. He mentioned that there may be some off-the-field issues similar to Evans.

So not completely sure where we stand with our interest in him right now.

Greg Biggins - West Coast recruiting guru for 247: "Young is special, no other way to say it. He very well could be the best quarterback prospect in the country and is among the top five I’ve seen come out of California in the last 20 years."

Greg Biggins raves not only about Young's skills, instincts, etc., but also his character, demeanor, leadersip, work ethic, etc. The total package. And Young sounds really pumped about Bama and like he feels this is a perfect fit. Wish we could share all of the good stuff he reported.

Great job of capturing and posting tweets as images! Here's a way to make those even nicer:

After using the link button to place the twitter status url in the post edit box, select and delete the word LINK and then (with the cursor sitting there) use the img button to place the tweet image there. That results in the image being a live link -- click on the following image:

Yep - in this day and age, having a gamechanging QB is about as important as it gets. There aren't a whole lot of them out there, and from all reports this kid is legitimately one of them.

Freakin awesome. What a job by the staff, especially Sark.

That's why I think we are getting a little carried away. Surge said uncommitted skill players have reached out not 5 star offensive talent. Maybe some of those committed guys we want to flip will reach out later as he said.

With that being said I would guess this helps in locking up Gilbert. I'm hoping Arian Smith or Henderson might be persuaded by Young's commit. Maybe Evans and Washington have circled back to us as well though I doubt it.

Not 5-stars, but Boutte & Burton are top 50 players and Henderson & Smith are top 100. I think we'll get Gilbert in mid fall and that'll rule out Washington. I may be wrong, but I think Bama is pretty wary of Evans' character and may prefer McClellan. There's about 5 spots left right now but there could be a little attrition too. Maybe Jayson Jones, for one. Webb is a TOP priority who we're trending pretty well for. Bama will probably take at least one more DL too.

1. TE - Gilbert
2. LB - Webb
3. WR - elite only
4. CB - Jospeph
5. DL - McKinnley or other?
6 RB - McClellan ?
7. DE/TE - Grimes ?

With space tight, versatility might be important: e.g., Grimes or DL/OL guys like Latham and Omari Thomas.

There are 3-4 guys currently committed that I could see getting bumped out if the right guys come calling. Sounds like that may happen and that’s a good thing. Other guys will have plenty of time to find good landing spots and our roster gets more elite talent heading into 2020. Win win. I want Gilbert and McClellan and one elite WR to go along with some good defensive guys. Gonna have to shed 2-3 dudes to make all that happen.
