All you baseball folks, I’m not a huge fan and don’t really know what to look for with guys. Saying that, how do ya’ll think we look so far? Can we compete and be a middle of the pack SEC team? Can we cause some problems this season and win some series that we aren’t supposed to win?
I know that it’s early, but what do y’all think of the roster and potential after the first series

Didn't see - had it on my iPad on the side while working so I was half paying attention.

Hard to tell from the opening series, but it reinforced the general belief that this team is the most talented we've had in 5-6 years and should be more competitive in the SEC.
My personal expectations are 12-14 conference wins, get back to Hoover and sneak into the NCAAT.

I didn’t get to see anything g this weekend but I want to see them before I make any predictions . Went to several games last year and there was young talent to build around but I want to see these new freshmen . Bo is upgrading the roster for sure though

I saw him last year hit 89 several times. Seems like he is an upper 80s side arm guy. That is very solid for a side arm thrower. As a one inning novelty, Lee should be very effective.
It is my opinion that side arm throwers lose a good bit of their effectiveness second time through the line up. Thus, as a closer, he could certainly be a good one. He seems to be consistent. Keeps the fastball down and couples it with the sweeping slider.

Sounds like Dan Quisenberry that used to close for the Royals way back in the day. Quis was so sidearm, it bordered on an underhanded softball throw but he was very effective.

MSU club team uses my field for their games and Lee played on Bama’s club team one year IIRC. He no hit Msu the day I saw him

Yes. He had like a .25 era that year. He was a very good club player, and has become a good D1 varsity player.

I’ve heard that some of the team are about like a very good high school team.

Why am I having flashbacks to Mitch Gaspard?
Please tell me we have finally cleared the mid-week in-state games curse.
