Someone on Twitter asked Jimmy Dykes about our chances tomorrow and his response was:

I think Villanova better play really well. If not, Bama will get em

I am thinking return Petty to the starting lineup and remove Key with Jones filling Key's roll.

I believe I'm going to win the brick competition

Bryce Brown is 0-5 3FG in first 12 minutes

Yeah, Petty has played his best games coming off the bench so for sure the thing we need to do in the tourney is stick him back in a starting role.

I'd probably start Reese over Key at this point and see if we couldn't get him an open look early. It'd be nice to have another shooter for a defense to have to worry about.

Reese doesn't have near the athleticism as Key. Jones is a better replacement because both Key and Jones can cover multiple positions. I think they are first and second on the team in charges taken.

Yall are being way too hard on Key. He hasn't been playing his best but he's shown that he can be productive at times. He can be beneficial to this team. And we sure as hell need every bit of help we can get

I hope Key goes nuts tomorrow and scores 25 with 8 boards and 5 assists.

Crazier things have happened.

The leading scorer in the Creighton Kansas St game has matched his season point total at 13.

He is the best player in the game, right now.

I agree that Reese isn't very athletic, but he's a better shooter than Key...and I don't see anything that tells me that Key is athletic at all (guys beat him off the dribble regularly..he's got a very slow 1st step), PLUS he plays soft (avoids contact).
Nobody would be happier than me if Key became a productive part of the team...Lord knows we need another solid player, but I don't see anything that makes me feel that he's capable of anything other than what he's shown...and that's not gonna get it.

PS- check his stats and tell me what I'm missing.

He has a higher 3FG% more 3FGM both on season and in conference and has a higher FT%

He’s better from three and from the FT line.

Key's a 40% shooter with 24% from 3 point range while Reese is a 39% shooter with 32% from 3 point range...which would you prefer shooting the ball?...I'll take Reese.

Both Reese and Key will have to play, so I say we just go with which one is playing better tomorrow.
