Petty can't dribble but good god, bend your legs and get lower to the floor. He dribbles standing up.

Petty literally cannot play. I mean that by definition. He can't even dribble. How did he win player of the year? I don't care if it's against 5'8 players anybody could strip a guy who dribbles like that

That last play they were trying to break for an easy drive like they always do. Looked like he saw someone open, went to pass it but saw it get covered and tried to bring the pass back and dropped it out of bounds.
Avery should have been screaming to slow down though. Up 1, and we could have held the ball for the last shot.

I don’t know enough about basketball to criticize Avery’s Xs and Os, but minutes are the main issue that stands out to me.
Petty, who can’t play on the road, played 18 minutes in the 1st half. Sexton played 14 and came out for the final 40 seconds. Why? It would have been him running up the court instead of Petty. It’s insane to me that we’ve been in “do or die” mode for 2 weeks and our best 2-3 players don’t play 30 minutes. This isn’t the NBA...we don’t play on the road again tomorrow. Keep Sexton, Ingram, Key and Hall out there 35+ minutes.

We played better in that half with Petty in and no Sexton. I don't know why, but we did. When Sexton left we were down 4, then took the lead without him in.

He's actually regressed. He was a solid contributor the first half of the season. He's lost his confidence because teams have figured out how to cover and frustrate him. He's having his sophomore slump in the second half of his freshman year.

He looked great game one. He has lost all confidence. That's the only explanation. He's incapable of making a mid range shot and for a shooter that's the easiest spot on the floor.

A&M hasn't been able to shoot 3's against us for some reason. They aren't bad but I think they have 3 combined 3's in a game in a half at this point

ESPN or someone had Petty as a 5-star I think.
Also, someone mentioned he looked pretty good against the Canadian teams. Well he did, but those teams we played were terrible, besides Carleton
