I know everyone is joking, but a serious comment. The young thing was a legitimate excuse for losing some games we shouldn't, but it's not a legitimate excuse for this. Also, some of our problems aren't even related to youth. Most talented young teams play good offense and inhale on the defensive end.

This is a performance that you expect from guys that have a "lame duck" coach. Not a team fighting for the tournament

The young excuse works for playing well then playing poorly.
The young excuse doesn't work for mental weakness and quitting. We've QUIT twice in the last 3 games.

Jesus, at least go off on the refs and get T'ed up, Avery. Standing there with your thumb up your arse ain't helping.
Y'all are right, coaching acumen aside, Avery has flat out lost this team. WTF happened? Was there a fight in the locker room? Did Collin call everybody out for playing like shite? I don't get it at all. What makes a team just give up when the tourney was easily makable?

I've been trying to give the benefit of the doubt.
However, for all that's riding on this game, this ranks high among the worst Alabama basketball efforts I've ever seen and I've been watching for over 30 years.

Byrne has to fire him after this. If he doesn't then he can go frick himself. We are going to finish the regular season on a 5 game losing streak and probably lose our first conference tournament game.

You just CAN'T ignore this total collapse. Not if you want to have any semblance of a competitive basketball program.
And I'm not a coach, never claimed to be. But I've played enough competitive sports to know that if I gave effort like that, my arse would be sitting on the bench. That's a sure sign Avery is lost. If your kids are playing like this, you stop the game and send a message loud and clear: piss poor effort is NOT acceptable. If you don't want to play, you don't have to, you can sit by the coaches. Schaeffer and the walk-ons will be glad to play hard and the results will be the same.

Has Bama EVER played a wosrse game than this?
I recall years ago they got blown out at Ole Miss on the final game of the season, but that game rally didn't matter, so I wrote it off.
But there is too much on the line tonight to COMPLETELY shite the bed.
Forget it being a "young" team. Then how can you explain their winning a month ago at florida? They were a month younger then.
I'm done with this team.

I just refuse to believe he does. I have no concrete reasoning for it but there are just too many easy outs for bringing him back.
But then again, he fired Goff when the easy thing was to bring him back.

It’s worse than anything Grant ever did. I don’t ever remember Grant’s teams quitting on him like this team has.
We were thinking competing for the SEC and now we’re not even in. Bad losses all over the schedule as well.
