Ouch. That’s a good way to always get left out year after year.

I'm not going to comment on AJ, just saying this isn't exactly true.

If Bama hired Tom Crean that would lock in Watford. Hell, if anyone hires Crean you'll have a Watford battle at a minimum

I'm not going to hold those last 2 seasons against him too much. Those teams, especially 2016, were outperforming themselves.

This team is different.

We should be embarrassed with that performance. We should also be embarrassed how shitty our arena is compared to theirs. That's a real basketball arena and actually creates a homecourt advantage.

This x 1000

I laughed when Jimmy Dykes said at the beginning that it’s the best home court advantage in the SEC, but it actually is.

I’d gladly sacrifice 5k seats for students being close enough to make a difference.

This quote is as bad as anything I've read this season. I just don't understand. This should have gotten guys benched tonight.

Avery is an NBA guy. Half assing it, taking games off, and generally not giving a frick are par for the course during the regular season.

Yeah the last two teams didn't build a resume ...Until I see different I believe we ll hold serve at home and put the doubt to rest.

He once went 66-16 and got eliminated in the first round by an eight seed.

Eh, the 2016 team had an RPI of 37 going into the home game against Mississippi State. They were very much in the conversation for the NCAAT. Then we lost to 14-17 MSU and 16-16 Arkansas at home and Georgia shut the door on us in Athens.

But that team was very much in the thick of the NCAAT conversation. Should they have been talent wise? No, which is why I'm not going to lament them too much for losing to 2 teams that were probably as good or better than them.

It makes too much sense. Sadly, we’re still stuck with that dark airplane hanger called Coleman.

UF falls to UT meaning there are now six 8-7 teams in the SEC.

We finish 2-2 with a one and done in St Louis and we’re likely getting left out.

I'm still pretty perplexed and generally angry at the total mental collapse of the last 10 minutes of that game.

And the fact that Avery just kind of let it go unchecked. No timeouts, no lineup changes, nothing. Just let it snowball.

In 2016 we were in until the Miss State loss.

If we win the next 2 games we are pretty solidly in good shape. Our RPI right now is 30. We will add 2 Top 75 wins and our last 3 losses will be all on the road against #7, 16 and 26. And, in St Louis, we will play another Top 50 team.

If we beat Arkansas and Florida and lose @ Texas A&M and to, say, Missouri........our RPI will be like 35. We'll be a 9 or 10 seed.

It's simple - hold serve at home and we're going to make the NCAAT. Choke at home against 2 teams we 100% should beat and we will be at the mercy of the committee and/or winning in St Louis.

Bingo.

These players for Bama turn it up a few notches when we have a home crowd that shows up for games, and get loud.

There was no doubt in my mind we were heading into a buzzsaw going to the barn after being of of their few losses, oh and the whole rivalry thing.

I'm not happy with this performance, not any Bama fan could be. But pulling a superb cbb coach with a pedigree will be a hard sell with an antique gym half empty with stale fans.

We lose to Missouri and I see us getting left out. But like most here I’m expecting to be disappointed.

2-2 finish leaves us at 19 wins. We ll get in with 19 otherwise what's the point of the new quadrant system. We re a 7 seed in most brackets, that's not bubble that's safely in.

He seems like he’s pretty content, haha:

quote:

Avery Johnson: "We've already beat the No. 1 team in the SEC at home. It's not like we got swept. Isn't the series 1-1?"

Avery Johnson: "I don't think we're the last team that's come into this building and lost. They're having a pretty good year. They're the No. 1 team for a reason."

I expect to be disappointed too but the math just pretty clearly says that we will be in. Teams with Top 35 RPIs from power conferences do not get left out of the NCAA Tournament.

The fear is that we lose to Arkansas or Florida. Then all bets are off.
