Sexton establishing himself as the alpha if I had to guess. Sounds like some sort of infighting, and his personality would lead you to believe he was involved in a lot of it.

sexton walks a fine line talking shite on the court for sure. I"m shocked he hasn't gotten tee'd up yet to be honest. Hasn't been as bad of late.

gotta out rebound them today fellas!

I love his attitude. He runs his mouth a lot for sure, but he isn't some dipshit like Grayson Allen who plays dirty. He also seems like a good kid. A 4.0 GPA from a guy who knows he's going to be making millions in a few months is impressive. Wish we had him for more than a year.

we need some SEC upsets today. Most higher seeds are on the road

Aub @ SCar
Fla @ Vandy

Surprised he didn't get one in the LSU game in the 1st half. The LSU defender got called for a foul just before a TV timeout, and Sexton arrogantly handed him the ball as he was walking to the bench. Pettway said something to him as he got to the bench.

LSU winning would help us out a lot resume wise.

If we play like we have been at home, we could win comfortably. That's a massive if though.

Petty needs at least 4 3's today.

It definitely is impressive given how few guys in his position pull it off.

Considering the amount of academic support available to student athletes though, I find it incredible it is so rare. It is even crazier that some don't make grades

I won’t say he needs at least 4, but I do think he definitely needs to play above his road game averages.

The Turtle's 3FG shooting is very reminiscent of Malik Monk last year. Both guys have 10+ games shooting 30% or worse on minimum 3FGA yet both are "top" 3FG% in the SEC due to just unloading in games.

Kentucky's too big inside for us to have much success there.

Not sure I completely agree with this. Kentucky is too long to get easy, uncontested attempts at the rim off drives or lobs. Kentucky has absolutely no strength inside to bang in the post. If you watched AU's game vs UK, Desean Murray our 6'3 PF had position in the post nearly all game long, we jsut struggled to get a clean entry pass due to the length issue

Even if you don't trust Donta Hall, Giddens or even Key in one on one post up situations, those guys will consistently have good positioning for putback opportunities which they for sure excel at

We are going to get their best effort. Cal believes they are finally learning to play hard. I hope our guys don't have the initial stage freight from playing in that big arena, against the KY name. What we don't want to do is get shots blocked inside and let them get in run outs on our defense. That is what they do best and what gets them going.

Ive thought Petty was like Monk too. Ive also thought Sexton is a lot like De'Aaron Fox.

I want to win, but more than that, I just hope we show up. Just play hard. I can't handle another Texas game
