This is as bad as his initial statement.

The FBI has 56 field offices with over 13,000 agents. A single white collar crime investigation being run out of a federal district in New York that happens to involve college basketball might be news to the people here and might make a splash on ESPN, but it isn't anything more than just another day at the office to that agency. It certainly isn't "the ones they're focused on."

As far as the tip about the kid, how many of those do you suppose they get in a day? Ten, twenty, a hundred? This feeding frenzy about that tip to the feds is way beyond ridiculous when you consider that the FBI generally isn't a first responder agency and yet they're supposed to somehow identify this kid out of the thousands they see as the one that would go through with a threat - but the local LE agency who had been called to his home nearly 40 times - apparently never saw fit to charge him, seek involuntarily commitment, or do anything else to show they had major concerns about his risk to public safety?

I'm happy to criticize the FBI. They're really, really, good at letting state and local entities do a lot of leg work and then show up at the press conference to steal the spotlight but to flat out say that a 2 year old public corruption investigation in New York kept them identifying a potential mass murderer in south Florida isn't just silly, it is downright embarrassing.

Might want to reread my post, or maybe I should have worded it better, but I'm not claiming the entire FBI ignored these signs for this shite going on in college basketball. I'm saying that if that's one of the things the FBI is going to focus on (tips involving non-lethal and somewhat irrelevant crime), they better be focusing on these ten, twenty, a hundred tips a day first.

Secondly, this tip referenced a public video of the culprit claiming that he was going to become a professional school shooter. How many tips did that office get that day that came with that kind of a lead?

I support all levels of government employees including the FBI, but the FBI (that specific office that it was reported to) fricked up.

Cecil did more than talk to Ms St boosters. According to Dan Mullen he was committed to state. The ncaa has documents that say Cecil asked State for $180,000. Scam's dad admitted to the ncaa that he did ask for 120,000 to 180,000. The ncaa said since the son didn't know about it (yea, right),so it was not a violation. We now have the Scam rule, which makes it a violation.

They are completely different departments though. That would be like saying the accountants should work on the factory line every morning because production hasn't met quota

Sounds like they did, but it wasn't because they were focusing/prioritizing the NCAA MBB investigation

So Cecil admitted to talking / "asking" Miss St boosters... just like I said?

Auburn.

Not this year. How can SCar score enough to stay with them?

I never pull for Aub but this team is so good I find myself enjoying watching them play. DAMNIT!

There are infinite ways that basketball in this state can disappoint us #BatteredFanSyndrome

They play an extremely fun style for sure. I felt the same way about watching Collin Sexton vs Minnesota.

It is the opposite of watching a UVA game

I like McLemore. I wish we had him. He shows flashes of greatness for sure (or I feel like he does in the games I've seen).

I guess it's been awhile.

I have mixed feelings about watching UVA. On the one hand, their games are about as exciting as watching paint dry. On the other hand, the consistency with which they execute both their offense and defense is extremely impressive.

Ala's D the last few games has made me feel that way. Not many teams can switch like we can on screens. It's a HUGE advantage. The intensity has been better too.

Avery and the staff's work with these guys improving team defense has been pretty dramatic.

I respect the hell out of them and I think Tony Bennet may be the best pure bball coach in the country

I still have zero desire to watch any game they are playing in.

St Bona just took a quick dunk to go up 1 with 20 seconds left.
