Is 75U appropriate for LSU now or are we saving that for when the football streak hits 75?

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't think we are much better on offense now than we were a month ago. The defensive performances have really picked up in conference play though. When we look focused on that end we are making teams earn every point they score. LSU, Florida, and Tennessee got like 20 good looks between them in the 2nd half of all those games. That has produced a lot of easy transition points for us.

I don't think we're great, and we go through funks, but I Key/Ingram have been better at slashing and passing and it has given us a bunch more easy looks. The last few weeks we have seldom taken "tough" shots. Now, that doesn't mean we make them all because we just have a bunch of streaky shooters, but I feel like we tend to be getting better shots a whole lot more often. And most of it is due to Key/Ingram/Sexton getting into the lane.
It doesn't feel like we have nearly as many "WTF ARE WE DOING" possessions. But, that could be partly due to your point about getting out in transition off misses and turnovers on the other end.

Agreed. Key getting better and gaining confidence has coincided with our defense playing so much better.

Key in particular is starting to come into his own.
In February he's averaging 11 points a game and shooting 53% from the floor and 75% from the line. That's a scoring option that didn't exist a month ago. If he can keep it up, it will go a long way to helping make those 8 minute scoreless droughts a bad memory.

quote:Maybe, but he really needs to develop a short range jump shot and put on around 15-20 pounds. The NBA is physical, big boy ball and I'm afraid that right now Donte would get taken down low and manhandled.
Donta is the difference down the stretch for us. He has grown this season and is playing with confidence. If his play continues, he will likely play his way off of our roster and into the NBA draft.

For what's it worth, I'd probably be rooting for an AU win at that point. I'd like to see Bama beat UK in Rupp once in my lifetime.

I'm going if the student tickets are as cheap as they were in Nashville

Key finally playing like basketball isn't a new sport to him has definitely helped a lot. The lack of consistent shooters is just always going to hold us back in the half court, which is mostly what I am referring to. We won't see another team that's going to try to slow the game down into a grindfest until postseason play though, so hopefully the next time that happens we can pressure them into enough turnovers to turn it into a track meet.

Didn't they beat them up there like 5 or 6 years ago?
And I know a Gottfriend team with Winston beat them up there around 2001 or 2002.

Agree on the half court thing. That is the one place that still gives them fits.

From 17:46 to 5:42 in the 2nd half LSU scored 4 points.....FOUR

Although I've watched Bama basketball for a while, I'm only 23. I wasn't really "invested" the way I am now. Like I've seen Alabama make the elite 8, but it really didn't mean anything to me the way it does now.

Quick question: if you graduated in fall, can you still use your act card to get into games for the following spring?
I still get emails about student tickets.
