I have no fricking idea. But thats what he said...

Maybe he has silently commited to our coaches but is gonna still go through the recruiting process. Idk.

He's probably made it known to people around him that he will most likely end up signing with us but is just enjoying the recruiting process. Basketball is a little different than football. When a basketball player commits other programs generally stop recruiting him. When a football player commits other programs generally start recruiting him harder. Basketball recruiting is a little shadier, but it involves significantly less drama and attention whoring.

After the Ferguson thing, I've got the not convinced until they're enrolled mentality. It does seem like we're hearing a lot of positive things about our Watford recruitment though.

I don't mean that he has elite skills generally. I just mean he has one elite skill. He is already a fantastic on ball defender and will only get better. That along with his other physical tools is what makes him an interesting future draft prospect. But otherwise yes I completely agree that it's all just potential at this point.

As for his 3pt shooting, I just like his shot. I wish he would take more, and I don't understand why he doesn't. He doesn't have a super quick release, but it's consistent, fluid, and he starts it high enough that he can just shoot over most college guards.

If that happens, any thoughts on who we get to replace him?

I don't think that will happen. Andy Kennedy is a pretty good coach.

Andy may be burnt out and will take a year off and do TV. I don't think he stays out of coaching long

Pretty sure they weren't ranked when you played them. If they weren't, that would be your problem

We are 40-8 against LSU in Coleman. That's nuts.

I suspect little sister will come calling for Kennedy. Their coach is bad. They did the Dubose thing on the Southside and hired the assistant that the players wanted. Kennedy has a strong personality though. He would probably be good on TV. He really kind of showed up the Ole Miss AD yesterday at their PC. Kennedy spoke first and then the Ole Miss AD got up and said, well, Andy spoke without using any notes, but I will need to use my notes. (in other words, he is a better public speaker than I am).

I doubt it unless they miss on a lot of guys. They might be able to get a pretty good coach. Historically Ole Miss is terrible, but it isn't that bad of job currently- new arena, close to Memphis for recruiting, and a solid conference.

Some potential candidates
Stansbury- Western Kentucky (I hope this happens)
Steve Forbes- ETSU
Mark Schmidt- St. Bonaventure
Earl Grant- Charleston

Or maybe they go after an unemployed guy like Crean or Matta.

Would be the rant's preferred hire

I doubt he'd get hired though. I got some friends that are boosters for MSU who said Stansbury had some hidden compliance issues in Starkville. Given OM's situation, I doubt they'd hire him

Easily would be the best hire

Do you trust this man to make a logical decision?
