I agree. I know Oklahoma winning benefits us, but I just really do not like Trae Young, so Hook em.

in the sec/acc/big10/big 12/pac12, 6 teams have 4+ top 25 wins:

oklahoma 6
texas tech 5
ala/fla/duke/ncst 4

Young takes 23 shots a game, his assists are high because he dominates the ball.

Sexton is the better pro prospect for sure, he is a better defender + effort in big games but you're off on your assertion that Young is some ballhog shot taking player compared to Sexton.

Young averages 20 shots a game while Sexton averages 13 but this is mostly due to the minutes difference (Young averages more minutes per game on a faster tempo team. From a Shot% standpoint, they are similar Young: 35.3% (#7 NationallY) Sexton: 32.4% (#49). On a possession basis Young is at 40% while Sexton is at 32%

Trae Young though is more efficient despite averaging more shots per game, shooting 50% 2FG and 40.9% 3FG for 56% eFG vs Sexton's 46.3%2FG/36.8% 3FG 48.9% eFG. Young also has the highest assist rate in the country, which is absurd given his shot%

I agree that Young is over reported and he benefits from das Krugz allowing the system to run through him like this, but don't try and diminish the absolutely ludicrous season Young is currently having

UCLA-USC is good one too.

So much better watching these games after a win, than being pissed off.

Can we petition for Bama to just play on Saturday the rest of the way out?

If I recall correctly (will have to look back) didn't you say it was absurd to think sexton could average around 20 as a freshman?

Agree with that. I could see us struggling with Missouri pretty consistently.

Also I don’t see any that many surprise results in our SEC schedule so far (arguably an 18 point win at Florida is the biggest one). We’re not good enough to consider losing at Vanderbilt a huge anomaly.

UCLA wins. That was a fun finish.

Xavier-Georgetown going down to the final shot too

Does our RPI look better if Oklahooma wins or Texas wins, or does it matter?

To me, Young is basically the Trace McSorley of college basketball. When he's on he takes a lot of stupid, yolo shots that go down and help his team win. When he's off he takes the same stupid, yolo shots that don't go down and frick his team over.

You can check on RPI wizard but most likely home team winning is just slightly better for RPI ranking

For RPI group 1 / 2 /3 though you want Texas since they are #40 right now and a hoome loss likely bumps them from Group 1 to Group 2

He also said he didn't see him being a one and done. Regardless, what he just said is 100% accurate so I'm not sure why you're bringing this up now.

Did I have to have a reason? Did you have to have a reason to add your 2 cent? No. Good.

I responded to your recent post with relevant comments. You're responding to Gene's post referencing a post he made months ago that has nothing to do with the current post you're calling him out for.

You're going to call someone out, but then get offended when someone calls you out for an irrelevant post?

Petty is 64th nationally in 3 point attempts at 160 (he's made 60)

Only 2 players in power five conferences have made less than that and shot at least 160 (joel berry/unc 57 and Wilson-Frame at Pitt 47)

Not saying he isn't having a great year, but Sexton is shooting well and if Avery wanted him to go off I'm sure he could, but we re a better team if we re balanced.
