Guess this is as good a place as any for this.

Saban was asked about his thoughts on the name of the playoffs.

quote:

Q. The College football playoff. ... Do you like the title?

A. What is the title?

Q. The College Football Playoff.

A. Pretty self-explanatory, isn't it? It's what it is, isn't it?

I love his answer the question about having more first round draft picks than Bryant did at Alabama.

Eddie Lacy went home.

I really hate when they invite kids to New York and they have to sit through four hours of not being called. They did the same thing to Courtney Upshaw.

True, but its ultimately the players risk of not being called. They can't guarantee where, or even if, the player will get drafted the first night. It can be a fluid situation sometimes as we saw last night.

If I were a player, even a "guaranteed" top 10 pick, I'd be spending it at home with the family to celebrate. NFL and ESPN can deal with it .

Hubbard a top 10 pick?

Not that far out there. He's already had some early buzz for next year's draft, he's got the size, the athleticism, and he played really well this past season for a first year guy in a Saban defense. Pressured well, was a hell of a lot better against the run than you'd initially think, contained well outside of the A&M game, and he can drop back and cover. He had a bum elbow for a lot of last season, this year expect around 10 sacks, but it's the potential that's gonna reel him in for pro scouts, he's basically everything they liked about Dion Jordan, except he's more well coached and he's probably not quite as fast.

Aww a man I really want Ertz then in the 3rd get Logan Ryan CB out of Rutgers

Ertz might be the best TE in this draft Gronk 2.0 IMO

Lacy was not the 1st RB drafted.

To be fair Gio fit two needs for them, he can be a returner as well. This pick doesn't take anything away from Lacy, he just can't return kicks.

Bama tried to swoop in on him late, but his Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas blocked a lot of Bama contact.

A bigger CJ Spiller, dynamic.

Ok I'll update if we have someone drafted but I think I'm gonna have to bust out something strong to drink.

Man, Lacy is just plummeting down the board.

I've always thought durability might be a bigger concern for NFL teams than the analysts were allowing. And I'm guessing teams may have been turned off by some of his early season film when he wasn't 100%
