There is no fence around Batesville. If kids want out they get out. The OM pipeline is overblown because, for all of the "USP is THE MISSISSIPPI powerhouse" bullshite, being the powerhouse of Mississippi highschool football doesn't mean shite. The kids aren't prepared for college ball. So coaches aren't that interested. Did we want Snoop Brassell? Yes. Snoop was interested too. But he didn't grow up a Bama fan. Tony did.

I was referring to his family.

But it seems that more reporters are saying they think he is all ours.

Do we like Robison as an ot or dt?

Analyst have said DL dating back to last year, so I assume that's his position until Bama sees fit to flip him to OT.

That's what I like about him, I generally don't like guys without a true position, as it puts them behind when they get to campus. But ol and dl guys are gonna need that time anyway. Maybe that's why we want this kid, so that we can try him out at both and the chances of him not working out here go down a lot.

Reminds me of that scene at the roadhouse in Animal House. "May I have this dance?"

If we sign A'Shawn and Vanderdoes then I am completely over Nkemdiche....which I didn't think was possible as bad as we fricked up that situation.

Reports: Alabama likely to land longtime Texas commitment, 5-star defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson

quote:

Geoff Ketchum, owner and publisher of OrangeBloods.com, wrote on his Twitter account that Robinson has already informed Texas coaches of his decision to sign with the Crimson Tide.

"(OrangeBloods) has confirmed that A'Shawn Robinson has informed the Texas coaches in an in-home visit that he will sign with Alabama on Wednesday," Ketchum wrote.

not really sure what we could have reasonably done differently. who even knew his brother would ave been any good? last year was the first year with the sec scholly limit in place, so we didnt have any leway to take alot of chances on an undersized guy with bad grades. not too many 200lb linebackers getting playing time in our scheme as it stands. ole miss i think was the only major program to offer him due to grades. not getting the brother is what put us behind on him from the start

I was processing guys left and right trying to make room for him. His HS film was impressive as hell and with those genes....it was a no brainer for me.
