Love the pickup. Cook is a rangy athlete ala dre Kirkpatrick. He'll be a stud at bama.

Wish we had offered smith from McGill, auburn is getting a silky smooth football player with that kid

I think the biggest thing with the McLeod theories on going elsewhere, he was to have somewhere to go. For the reasons people want him gone, why do you think anyone else will take him? They might be glad jumped on the landmine before his senior year.

Who is better Cook or Maurice Smith?

Mo Smith is a faster much more raw prospect, more of a fluid athlete type, true corner

Cook is physical and headsy player, amazing zone coverage defender

I like Cook better (admittedly though I've seen Cook play in person, haven't seen Smith)

As soon as the game ended, the three-star defensive back was met by Alabama assistant Kirby Smart. After the two embraced, Smart handed his cell phone to Cook.

"I talked to Nick Saban on the phone," he recalled. "He said I just got the offer...I feel pretty good about it. I thank God."

The next step was evident.

"It's my dream school!" he said with emotion after he committed to Saban."They are the number one school. Since I was little I've been watching them and it's who I've wanted to play for.

"God gave me a chance."

Cook was waiting on the offer and it all came so quickly.

"I'm speechless for real," he added. "All I can do is thank God!"

I'm happy to say the least

Question is then do we give his scholly to Luke or try for someone else and just let Luke stay a walk on?

Probably hold it for someone else. If Luke is willing to walk on, more power to him. I'm sure he'd be willing to do that so we can make the team better.

What will losing Pruitt do to our recruiting class?

It may hurt with Tunsil, until we send in the headhunter Kirby Smart.

Carter was offered, Bama is the expected favorite.

And Josh McNeil is whining about coaches on Twitter, I doubt he ever suits up in a Tide uniform. Not in '12, not '13, and not '14.

Tunsil is one of my favorite players in this class, we should probably just give him a brand new Camaro or something.

It's on the SECrb.

LSU fans are already defending him just because he's interested in them

I love the LSUrb. A new thread on who Saban is visiting, and I learned two future tide players were the offensive and defensive players oty in the state of Louisiana
