I was "only" 71, and had just moved to FL. Had just bought "Bama Cart" (golf cart); it wasn't delivered until January.
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2020 and beyond. Ballgame starts in 5 min.; ROLL TIDE!

That’s an abnormally long gestation

That's my most embarrassing moment as a Bama fan...I was in the rundown Rose Bowl pisser.

To be fair to you, no sane person would have tried to run a play like that at the end of the half Texas had just had with a true freshman QB.
That was all-time stupid by Mack.

That game was my favorite experience as a Bama fan... some friends and I stayed in Beverly Hills and visited Hollywood the day after the game. The Rose Bowl is far from the nicest stadium around but it is a big part of college football history (Bama's included) and is in a gorgeous location. Just a fantastic experience.

Yep. Face value on those tickets were like $125 if I remember right. One of the only times I've paid over $100 for a football ticket.
I need to dig up pictures from that trip. Wife and I went with her parents, though our tickets were on opposite sides of the stadium. Leaving that place was a clusterf**k, even after sticking around in the stadium for an hour after the game.

There was a big snow in North Alabama and a lot of roads were closed. I drove over an hour, spinning out of the road once, to a buddy's house that's normally 20 minutes away. A big group of us watched the game. The high after Darius's pick six was amazing.

My buddy had a hookup with the city of Pasadena. We got to tailgate with the Rose Bowl committee and sit on the 50, all at face value ($300 something).
Best trip I've ever taken.

I have a cousin whose father-in-law has been a Rose Bowl season ticket holder for years, and he hooked us up with tickets. Through his father-in-law's friends and associates, he was able to get 12 tickets total, so I was very popular that year helping friends and family get tickets.

Best football of my life!
