2/3 against a division leader, including using 2 pitchers making their debut.

We’re somehow duct taping things together. Oh, and Yates got himself into trouble in game one, but that back door slider to end the game after 7 straight foul balls was one of the gutsiest pitches I’ve ever seen. He literally only throws that slider 1% of his pitches according to the broadcast. Pretty sure it was the only one he threw in the game. Absolutely huge pitch in one of the better at bats to end a game I’ve seen in years.

Sweep of the division leader, albeit a weak division, but the Braves are stupid good right now. I still think the bullpen is an October dumpster fire waiting to happen, but this offense can cover a lot of poor pitching going forward. Acuña might be the first MVP ever to not lead his team in homers or RBIs. So much fun watching right now.

Braves own the Brewers. Believe that’s 5 out of 6 now.

I agree the bullpen is a bit shaky right now, but if we get Minter healthy and Iglesias doesn’t melt down, you really just need 1 or 2 more between Yates, Jimenez, Johnson, etc. to be on an upswing with confidence heading into the playoffs. I really thought Will Smith was going to cost the Braves the 2021 WS, and he was lights out the whole postseason. A bit of a guessing game of who’s going to be sharp in October.

Braves picked up Brad Hand. Didn’t give up too much for him and he’s still great against lefties.

I agree guys can get into a zone come October, but that is the exception not the rule. Leugte is gone. That's a plus. We should've DFA'd Yates as well. He just hasn't met a bat he doesn't like to hit since joining ATL, but father time will do that.
The Braves only chance to win it all is to keep hitting. The good thing about that is that they've been hitting all year.

Braves ace Max Fried is back. Shutting down Dansby and the hot Cubbies 8-0.
Braves offense continuing their explosive ways.
At 2:07 today, score was 0-0.
At 2:15 score was 7-0.

And the game was over at exactly 1530 on the nose. 2 hour game.

The 3 HRs today weren’t cheap. These guys can straight mash.

Our 9th hitter is hitting like .300 since May and had a 2HR game the other day with one going over 450ft if I’m remembering correctly. “That just ain’t fair”

2 hour game yesterday, which is around the average time for a college basketball game.
Pitch clock has been the best rule change for MLB.

Snit placing Harris in the 9 hole with Acuna right behind him, is very stressful for opposing pitchers.

If it ain't broke don't fix it (as we learned with previous efforts to bat Acuña anywhere but leadoff), but it still feels like a waste to have Harris getting the fewest PAs of our regulars. Then again you really can't move him up past 6th or so and Snit is, fortunately IMO, not a tinkerer when it comes to his lineup construction.

Ronnie almost to 30/60, Eddie heating up getting ready for the postseason, and not even a 9.0 ERA starter can cause them to lose. He’s 4-1 despite giving up 8 of the 10 runs starters have given up in the past 40 innings or so. The rest of the Braves starters have a 0.45 ERA in the last like several games.

I'm disappointed the Braves are not protecting Sean Murphy.

Dude has been hit something like 5 times in his last 25 AB's, and that one two nights ago was 95 in the ribs.

At some point you gotta let your players know the team isn't gonna let that happen, and you damn sure gotta let other teams know we will protect our own.

Strider maybe too young to know what to do there, but his last inning with two outs, or whenever their catcher came to the plate next somebody got to wear one.

And suddenly Ozuna looks like the guy that nearly won the triple crown a few years ago.

If strider keeps this up the Cy Young could be in play.

He was really mad when the 1 run scored and broke his 20+ scoreless innings streak. Think he knows he needs to throw up some zeros to get back in the race (probably needs sub 3.00 ERA unless Snell blows up).

Braves win again today, this time with Fried on the mound. Who would have guessed?

Glad to see Riley finally get another homer. Olson’s on his longest homerless streak all season, but had 3 hits today.

Unless a ton of voters look at literally nothing but ERA there's no good argument for Snell. He has been stupidly lucky this season. It's a weak year overall, but if Strider gets to 300 Ks with a < 3.50 ERA he should win it easily.
