Tonight's win combined with the MetroLOLitans getting swept in their double header against the Tigers puts us 5 up. Largest division lead in MLB.

I, too, need to eat some. I was all over the Braves for getting rid of Contrerras. Murphy is showing out for sure.

Braves win, Mets lose, Pirates lose gain, Ozuna homers again, Dodd gives a QS with 6 IP and 3 ER, 6 game lead in the division, etc.
If it wasn’t for injuries and a shaky bullpen, I’d probably do something stupid and say the division is locked up. It isn’t, but I like where we’re heading!

The idea the Braves are 8 games up this early even with all the issues with pitching (health and ability) and Ozuna laughing hysterically while lighting 16 mil on fire is amazing.

Acuña and Murphy have arguably been the two best position players in baseball thus far. At least top 5. That'll tend to keep things going even when you're having problems elsewhere. Unless you're the Angels and have no clue how to build a team.

Alas, he kept Luke Jackson for 2 years when he sucked all the dicks. Anyway, losing today sucked. I hate the American League, and I fricking hate the new schedule where every team plays every team. Road trip involves Toronto, Texas, Seattle, L.A.??? Stupid.

Bullpen needs help, starters are injured, and some key bats have gone quiet (really bad when a .170 hitter named Marcel Ozuna might be your best hitter over the past several days).
And yet, we still have a 5 game lead in the division. Losing streaks happen…it’s against good teams at least. Simmer down…Swash…it will be ok. Got to survive the next few weeks to get Max back.

If not for the error in the 2nd that caused 4 unearned runs, the bullpen other than Iglesias was actually pretty good today (though it only takes 1 guy out of 4 or 5 to be off to cost you the game).
The offense, however, missed so many opportunities. Olson is really struggling and while Harris came through once, he struck out twice with 2 guys on. No reason we shouldn’t have scored 8 runs today

Acuña looking like prime Chipper so far this season. 1:1 BB:K ratio, he's hitting for average, and he's getting the power back. The HRs are steadily coming back and the last few have been the kind that outfielders don't even turn around for.
