Interesting pitching match up this morning.
Marlins SP Braxton Garrett from Florence Al.
Braves SP Kyle Wright from Huntsville Al.

By the way if anyone was wondering why the Braves stopped using the "Big Hat" to celebrate homers, it's because New Era complained about it to the MLB office. What a petty bunch of losers.

Holy crap what a meltdown. Minter has been charged with 10 earned runs on 10 hits over his last 3.2 IP, spanning his most recent four appearances.

Absolutely epic collapse. Need Iglesias ASAP and probably need to put Soroka in the pen. AA might need to get another hard throwing bullpen piece at the deadline if they want to make noise in the postseason. 1 bullpen arm can give away all the hard work from the SP, offense, defense, etc. in just 1 bad inning

Did y’all watch the Padres/Giants game in Mexico City? It’s like 2000ft higher than Coors Field and the ball is flying out of that place. There was like 12 HRs hit in todays game

Acuña parked one in the 3rd deck. Wow.

I was confused about that trade when it happened and wasn't a big fan of making a move to strengthen a position we were already pretty good at, but he's looking like an All Star lock and MVP candidate so far so I might have to eat some crow.

Acuna got drilled in the shoulder. Looked to be in a lot of pain.

Think I tried to highlight on here how bad the Oakland park was for righties and how good his defense was, but not even I predicted this kind of start.

The guy broke the Braves franchise record for consecutive extra base hits in his first month on the job!

It was obviously intentional after the first game.

I have to admit, I liked the sword celebration a lot more than the hand gesture signaling the opponent is too small (or whatever that is). Glad to see a bunch of the guys aren’t doing it, and Acuna needs to pick a different celebration gesture.

Speaking of Murphy, he is such a no nonsense guy. The interviewer was trying to get him to lighten up a couple weeks back and he wasn’t having any of it. Guy is a grinder

I've noticed the past 3 years that our pitchers will not stand up for their teammates after this shite happens. I'll take a pitcher getting ejected for standing up for his teammate. Morton should have made the Mets lead off hitter wear a fastball.

Between McNeil's dirty slide in the first game and him looking like a sewer rat dipped in grease, that's who should have worn one.

I would prefer he waited until 2 outs in either the 4th or 5th inning, but definitely should have thrown high and tight to McNeil or Alonzo in the right moment.

2nd inning: Ozuna with a grand slam. MHII with a 2 run HR. Braves love abusing the Marlins.

Ozuna with 2 tonight. If he’s not careful, he could break over .150 avg

Kyle doesn’t seem to have enough separation of speeds right now. Change up is only 5mph slower than his hard stuff. Need that to be closer to 7-10 mph.
