QB Shea Patterson Rips Into Hugh Freeze & Ole Miss In letter to NCAA
Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports
Former Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson is trying to get his eligibility back so he can play at Michigan. So he wrote a rather blunt and detailed letter to the NCAA about his dealing with his former school and head coach Hugh Freeze. Here's an excerpt...
quote:

In a scathing nine-page rebuke of Ole Miss to the NCAA, Patterson begins by saying, "I'm not going to hold anything back …"

Patterson spends most of the document describing, in detail, how he was allegedly misled by Freeze and, at times, athletic director Ross Bjork.

“It doesn’t seem fair to me that the only thing standing in the way of Coach Freeze making $5 million a year at another school was the discovery that he wasn’t the trustworthy, straight-laced role model that he claimed to be,” Patterson states.

I was one of the few who was totally against the 'Shea transfer to LSU' talk when he announced he would be transferring out. Kid showed what he really was when he followed his brother to OM. And he knew what was shaking at OM. So frick him and his opinion. I hope he enjoys warming the bench for the rest of his college career, knowing that he could have committed to cleaner school and eventually become a first rounder. This kid's opinion means precisely shite.

Guy is a fraud, he knew exactly what was going on. You don't choose Ole MIss over USC,etc. He's the bitch who knew the boat has a hole, and cries when the ship sinks.

what is the school supposed to tell prospective recruits? that NCAA is coming down with a hammer before any of the allegations are taken further? They will, of course, tell the kids that nothing is going to come of it and they are only allegations at that point. You have to keep doing business as usual until you can't/

Say what you will about Shea’s Dad and brother, but it’s sad a kid that talented got exploited the way he did. Hopefully he will learn some lessons, and appropriately distance himself from his family who seems to care more about their gain that his.

He didn’t go to Ole Miss because of a promise Freeze made. He went to Ole Miss because his pageant queen father got managed to get his older brother a nice comfy paycheck. He should blame his father, not Ole Miss or Hugh Freeze.
