His teammates hated him. He had a terrible reputation and refused to play any run D whatsoever. He only cared about pass rush. It’s why he’s not in the HOF.

Brett did a superb job in handling that confrontation. Also, I just watched the play and there’s no way he could have avoided Strahan.

Memory from watching the play says Brett could have absolutely tried to escape the sack, but he most likely would have been sacked. He turned right into Strahan's face who was coming right at him.

Of course it was given to Strahan. The game was over and the Packers were up by two scores at the point in the game. There was no reason to not run the ball, the game would`ve been over after a few runs. This is obviously not a good look for Mark, and it makes him look terrible.

If Brett Favre did not have the health issues with concussions that he has had, no way would he have backed away from a confrontation with Gastineau. My money would have been on Brett to kick Gastineau arse.
