I think too many people jumped on him to harshly for the comments he made about disrespecting the flag etc. When you heard the whole thing he said you can see where he was coming from. He has since apologized and taken all of that back. But one thing has remained consistent with Drew Brees and family - their love for Louisiana. This man has and continues to do a lot for NOLA and I just hope that all the folks who bashed him at least have the decency to praise him for moves like this.

What's easier for Brees at this point, hold on to his convictions, or give 5 million to a health care company? Obviously the latter is much easier which reminds me of wealthy parents who find it easier to dump money onto their kids rather than doing the hard things like taking time to teach their values which would be far more valuable. Brees is hoping money will fix his shattered public opinion on both sides.....it won't.
