Discuss: Do you dress differently when you go to Vegas?

My buddy Kalunda (not his real name) stopped by last night to borrow some toilet paper and return my Tivo. We hadn't chatted in a while, so we went out to my garage to catch up.

Anyhow, he tells me that he finalized his wardrobe for his upcoming Vegas trip:

Thursday night...Lumberjack Shirt:

I told him to ditch the Hawaiian shirt, but apparently he and his buddies (I don't know any of these cats) hit the craps tables at the IP in Hawaiian shirts every year.

I also told him that the Lumberjack grunge look went out in the early 90's.

Anyhow, I have never seen the K-man wear any of these shirts around Houston. Is it common for people to dress out of the norm when they hit Vegas?

I don't necessarily dress differently, but in Vegas I do try to keep it at a "cocktail" level of attire in the evening.

We usually dress a little nicer the night we have a good dinner and hit the high roller 10-15 minimum blackjack tables.

Normal clothes the other nights. I do like the idea of the group doing a Hawaiian shirt night or something dumb like that.

It's made a comeback. But you have to wear a slouch beanie on the extreme top of your head in order to pull it off.

I've never been to Vegas so I dont know. I do however think Kalunda is a bit of a goober.
