re: Cremation or Burial?

Posted by Fishwater on 8/13/26 at 10:30 am to
I was told by a old man about 30 years ago he wanted to be cremated and his ashes spread on the beach at the florabama so he could continue to end up in the panties of good looking women until the end of time.

I now share that same belief.
I remember an old 60 Minutes where a guy in Houston's sole job was being a "connector." He would charge a reasonable percentage for connecting you to whoever you needed.

You need to find a guy in Asia who can supply you a microchip? He has a guy.

Need a gal in South America who can source fresh Peruvian fish? He knows her.

What a dream job. Getting paid for merely knowing people and connecting them for business and making a great living.
Real wood and the LVP are susceptible to the gulf coast humidity. The examples at the flooring place had cuts which show the thickness.

Checkout Hallmark Floors - Ventura collection. Not sure of your budget or what your per square foot spend is.
Unique that elected DA's can also have a private law practice outside of their government role.
Rebuilding a house right now and picked out engineered wood floors yesterday. I was told like every other product, there are levels of quality. The "builder grade" which is lower level quality will scratch with dogs, furniture, etc and not last as long. Other levels of quality will last longer and not scratch as easy.
We have a detached garage that no insulation, except for insulated garage doors that face West. No insulation inside the walls, ceiling, or in the roof.
Would it be a waste of money to to spray foam in the attic roof or have insulation laid in the attic on the sheetrock ceiling? I believe the soffit does have vents.

I have a portable AC unit I use in the garage to cool me off when I'm out there piddling but wondered if insulation the attic would help the garage stay cooler even though the walls are not insulated. Thanks.

The VTech that operates on bluetooth and instantly works is excellent.

Some require Wifi and are a pain in the arse to get set up, especially if you travel.

Owlet is cool as it has a sock that goes on the baby's foot measure oxygen and also sleep patterns such a deep sleep. This comes in handy with sleep training. Uses your phone as a monitor via the app.

Nanit is pretty nice too, but more than a basic monitor. Via their app as well.

End of the day, the VTech monitor via bluetooth at Wamart is the best.

I love the Dead, but I believe the Pigpen era is the era that could be most appealing to the majority of the USA. Back when the Dead were a blues band.

I'm well traveled and Pueblo, Colorado is one of the shittest places I've ever been. They did have a cool dive bar simpled named Coors.
I have an Ego electric mower and love it. All of my basic lawn equipment is Ego now.

Mower is really quiet so I can get out and mow early on a Saturday before it is blazing hot and I won't piss off any neighbors.
I'd have to guess that an Intellectual Property attorney (which requires an additional license beyond the state bar law license) could be up there. Bu the big firms who have IP lawyers likely have the IP lawyers in other offices across the country in bigger cities than New Orleans.

A criminal defense attorney could get close in a federal complex white collar case. (Does Louisiana allow for flat fees in criminal cases?)

Personal Injury attorneys work on contingency vs hourly rate but I'd be plenty have made over $1,000.00 an hour on cases that were quick policy limit settlements.

Check out a Wayne Dalton door. We have them on our garage. We went with the insulated doors to prevent heat as the doors face West. They make regular non-insulated doors but great quality.
Came in to say the same thing. Call Ninja floor coating and get a quote. They now do a Polyaspartic coating vs a epoxy which apparently will last longer.

I'm a Strat guy. Always have been, always will be. My parents got me a Strat for Christmas in 7th grade. Still have it along with six other Strats. The best part of a Strat is being able to change out the parts so easily.

But once you change some parts out, is it really a Fender Strat anymore? Or just another parts o caster?

We had a Nest for a while. Loved it until we went out of town for four days and the Nest went in to some mode and we could not for the life of us, get it back functioning. We switched to an Ecobee and it works fine, but not as good as the Nest. But the Ecobee does work properly.

(I'd rather have kept the hardwired control panel than either of these wifi control units. Happy wife is a happy life so they say...)
North Face Borealis. Has a vented back pad. Love mine,
FlightRadar24 put up a camera on the airfield. Pretty cool:

NW Arkansas and Huntsville, AL remind me of each other. Good economies.
