Katie Ledecky made history at the Olympic Games on Wednesday with a performance for the ages. She won her first gold medal of the Paris games in the 1,500-meter swimming freestyle and now has 12 medals in four Olympics, tying Americans Jenny Thompson, Dara Torres and Natalie Coughlin and Australian Emma McKeon.

Ledecky swam at Stanford. However, Stanford is not officially an ACC member until Friday. But the conference could not help themselves...
