I never care about the announcers, but he’s been awful most of the day today

He hasn’t recovered from Houston losing to the Gators!
They should Florida the 2 points they would have scored but the refs stopped the play. That was ridiculous.

(Before anyone comments, I know they won’t do that.)

This aged like milk as Montgomery signed with UGA this morning. Allegedly turned down a deal from UF worth 6 figures more than what UGA offered.

Well, UF has a good, young QB in Lagway and flipped FSU main QB target. If Montgomery wants to play, going to UGA seems like the better option.
Can anyone tell me where to find current wind speeds of a smaller location (I’m in Sebring)?
Not sure how accurate my weather app is (it’s showing 80+ mph).
I’m in Sebring, FL. It’s 11:45 pm and we’re getting hammered by winds. The Fox Weather app says 92 mph. Don’t know if that’s true but it sounds like it outside.
The weatherman on one of the local Tampa stations just said that because the main rain storms are on the north side, the thought is it may move north toward those storms. Does anyone know if that’s a thing? Never heard that before.

ride this thing out in Port Charlotte tomorrow.

You planning to ride it out where the hurricane is hitting

All the local station (from Tampa and Sarasota) still show the eye hitting near Sarasota. Is there a new track that shows it hitting closer to Port Charlotte?

Damn thing keeps sliding south. I have friends down in Fort Myers/Cape Coral that lost everything in Ian. I hate this for them.

The further south this thing goes, the more worried I get that Sebring might see the eye.
Where is the best place to get the latest track as it crosses Florida? I’m looking for rain totals and expected wind more inland than Tampa and Sarasota. Thanks in advanced!

Per Ryan Hall, all Waffle Houses from Tampa to Cape Coral are closing.

Now it just got real.
Is this thing moving further south or north of Tampa?

It is now moved just N of me. That is better for you but is a suckopotamus for me.

Where do you find the latest track? There's a lot of different models out there.
quote:

Right now, the eye is supposed to go about 30 miles N of you. I am aboot 55 miles from you, as the crow flies. Good luck down there.

Thanks for the update. Hope you stay safe too!
Where is the eye expected to land / cross Florida now? I haven’t been able to read except the last couple of pages. I’m in Sebring, FL. Any of you close by?
quote:

Hoping it goes south as it would mean it would go over very unpopulated land in the middle of the state

Don’t you put that on me!

We’re here in Sebring down Hwy 27 from you. Hope it doesn’t hit any of us hard.
If he was taking groups over there (and that’s a big IF), he could have charged it to the group. I’ve taken groups of people overseas and my trip costs were part of each team members’ cost.

I’m not saying that’s what happened, just probably how they would explain it.

Still doesn’t mean the question shouldn’t be asked though.

Me too, i still think Ron is Deep State when it comes to a National Office Position, but building popularity on the state level. if he ever gets to DC in any shape or form. he will be Bushesque and Nikki Haley type.

You have absolutely no proof of this. However, there’s tons of proof that he is not afraid to go after the left. Why does the right always have to cannibalize ourselves?

lol, you must be joking In just recent history: Starting in 2007 Israel implemented a land air and sea blockade of Gaza Military operations killing Palestinians in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2019, 2021. You aren’t being serious are you?

I’m sure Israel did those things out of the blue and not in response to something. Don’t be so naive.

Israel treatment towards Palestinians vs Palestinians treatment towards Israelis is enormous. Israel allows Palestinians to live in Israel, hold political office, and even allowed for Palestinians living in Gaza to work in Israel. Israelis lives would be in danger if they go into Gaza.
Tell me you didn’t watch the game without saying you didn’t watch the game.

Your take may work for most games but not this one. The Gators were in foul trouble and had key players sitting for big stretches of the game. Any thing close to a touch was a foul. This was one of the worst reffed games I’ve ever seen.

I actually think the bad reffing helps take pressure off Golden for not adjusting on defense. But the refs definitely had an affect on the outcome.
The surplus is without federal $ added. So if Florida had a $13 billion surplus, if you take out the $9 billion they still had a $4 billion surplus. Same for the other years as well. Maybe we just see the numbers differently.

It looks like each year their surplus was more than the fed gave them. Fed money accounts for about 33% of Florida’s budget which makes them the 34th most dependent state.
