Urban Meyer Being Coy While Addressing Potential Interest In The USC Job
© Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports
Urban Meyer's FOX Sports 1 pregame cohorts Reggie Bush and Matt Lienart will be recruiting him throughout the season if the Trojans fail to have a good year. Meyer discussed the possibly of returning to coaching and heading to Southern California...
quote:

With speculation about USC coach Clay Helton’s job security already rampant, Leinart and Bush have already spoken of trying to persuade Meyer to take over if Helton is fired.

Did Meyer have any interest in nipping that in the bud or in opening the crack to the door?

“I learned my lesson long ago,” he said. “All I’m going to say is I believe I’m done (coaching). I think I’m done.”

With Urbana’s heart condition he should strongly consider going to USCw because there are a bunch of excellent Jewish Surgeons in the LA area and Southern California period.

He will take the job and when it gets stressful another fake medical issue will arise.

Urbs will win another couple of nattys with USC and then retire for good. He will be seen as a better coach than Saban with time.

It’s be funny to watch his career come full circle when Utah beats them every other year

This is USC we're talking about. Look at the line of incompetents they hire for AD. They wouldn't hesitate to hire Meyer, if for no other reason than to break this cycle of mediocrity. SC is OK with scandal as long as you make the football team relevant again.

Would be pretty easy to recruit against him at this point. “You know he’s gonna quit on you”

USC might be a good fit for Urb. I can see Harvey Weinstein wandering the sidelines in a Trojan polo.

Personally, I wouldn't waste the money on his flaky arse. No matter how good he is. He never finishes what he started and always leaves trouble in the wake of his consistently abrupt departures. Hard pass, if I'm USCal.

Not a CUM fan at all, but he does win championships. I would consider the definition of "finishing the job".
