MAKE IT STOP...
quote:

[Source] - Bailey, 21, has hired an agent and a lawyer to prepare to fight for NCAA eligibility with hopes to join a college team and play one more season.

"Right now I'd be a senior in college," Bailey told ESPN. "I'm not trying to be 27 years old playing college athletics. No shade to the guys that do; that's their journey. But I went to go play professionally and learned a lot, went through a lot. So, like, why not me?

Why the hell not? There’s no real difference between ‘college’ and professional sports nowadays.

The NCAA is feckless and continually hides under the desk instead of fighting these ridiculous court rulings.

He can go back to college, but cannot play basketball. That would be a huge mistake for college sports. But the NCAA is just another illegitimate organization paid off by betting companies, apparel companies, and obviously the media. They could care less about actual education.

If this works, can we get Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase and Jordan Jefferson back?

This is all so dumb but why not? We have already seen the death of college sports as we knew them. If a 30 year old wants to with two degrees wants a third….and play football or basketball…we have already opened that door.

The term "student athlete" is such a bad joke. He wants to play one more season in college? What, is he 27 hours away from getting his bachelor's in accounting?
