Video Of When Derrick Rose Found Out He Got Traded To Knicks Is Heartbreaking Stuff
Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
Derrick Rose has had one interesting NBA career. The dude came out of the gates as a stud in Chicago, winning MVP and leading the Bulls to multiple playoff runs. Injuries then took him down over and over again, really making you feel for him. Eventually, the Bulls traded him to the Knicks and that moment was captured in real time while a crew was filming him for a documentary. This is the heartbreaking moment he found out he was leaving his hometown for New York... Luckily, Rose eventually made it back from injuries and is now on the Timberwolves, where he had one heck of a season.

Damn. I never thought I'd watch a video that made me want to give another man a hug, but this young man has suffered enough

He has always been a favorite player of mine. His injuries ruined his career and people forget about how he played before they did. He was incredible. He carried the Bulls into the Playoffs by himself and won the MVP. He was unreal and this is really sad to watch.

The fact that this happened so long ago plus the fact that I don’t really care it’s not really emotional. It happens

Let’s see.....Hometown/favorite team, embedded in the community, never had to leave the mid-west, wanted to build and retire (at the time) as a Chicago Bull. I guess he’s supposed to tell himself, “ oh people get traded all the time, it’s not a big deal”...

You clearly know nothing about him. More than any other pro athlete I can think of, he has always played for the love of the game and the love for his hometown
