They helped fund a drag queen show for kids or something in Austin a couple years ago I think.
Literally one person didn't do their homework on one event.

Regular folks are still the majority. You just notice all the "look at me" try hards more often.
And that's true both on the Internet and in real life.

Do blackjack boats use aluminum fuel tanks or poly?
Posted by el duderino III on 9/19/25 at 12:17 am
I'm looking at a 2007 blackjack 224 with a 2019 Suzuki 200 for 29k. Seems like a good deal, but don't aluminum fuel tanks need to be replaced at some point? Just trying to factor that in.

It's more the mystery of what the hell this is that's bothering me. It almost looks like some kind of plant was trying to grow in it.

I figured it out! Lol
What in God's name did I find under this dove breast?

So you can see what looks like a hole. At first I thought somehow the crop or something got blown under the muscle, but I pulled the breast off the breast plate and there was some bizarre stuff under there. It almost looked like tree bark or some type of fungus? It was literally attached to the breast bone.

I have plenty of experience fishing, but I'm always on someone else's boat. Pulled trailers maybe 40 times, but never a boat.
The whole appeal of the aluminum boat is that you don't have to worry about beating it up? Aren't they more likely to sink or do they put foam in those as well? Putting kids on a boat that doesn't float when swamped makes me a bit nervous. If I beat up a glass boat it's not the end of the world financially. I was more looking to keep the budget low just so I can learn on a cheaper boat.

Isn't the downside of getting into the 21+ range that can't target reds in shallower water? Or is that really not much of an issue?
I've also heard that trailering 21+ is significantly harder than learning to trailer something 16-18ft?

First boat recommendations?

Looking for something I can take the kids fishing in both salt and freshwater. Mainly bay fishing, with maybe 30% freshwater. Would be fishing Matagorda/Baffin Bay mostly, but it would be cool to take if offshore once or twice a year if I can get lucky with the weather (once I learn what the hell I'm doing).
I've narrowed it down to three options:
a) start small, with a used 13 - 16 ft skiff. Easier and more forgiving to learn on. $8-15k.
b) start really small, with a sea eagle Fish Skiff 16. This seems like the most responsible choice, but my only concern with this is that my back wouldn't fare well sitting for that long. $4k with outboard.
c) something bigger. Still used, but 18-21ft. Something i'd be less likely to quickly grow out of. $12-22K.
Downside of a boat you can take offshore is of course it won't draft as shallow. I want to be able to fit 4 people in it to take the kids fishing, at most 5, but most of the time only 2 or 3 people would be fishing. As far as prices, I feel like I can find a decent boat for less than $25k if I'm patient. Boat will only get used maybe 18 times a year, so I don't need anything premium.
What are yall's thoughts?

I think there's a third motivation no one's mentioned yet, and to me it's probably the most likely. This is specifically targeting professional gamblers, but only to remove the sharks to make easier for the degenerates to occasionally win. This keeps them playing longer, which actually increases revenues over the long run.
This has already been happening with fantasy sports. If you're a consistent winner on DraftKings, they will just kick you off the site. Similar things have happened in private poker games as long as there have been private poker games.

Did you do that with cheese cloth or a paint strainer or something? I tried it with a paint strainer bag for a week and all I ended up with was a smelly soggy bag of ungerminated seed
