ESPN was playing “If A-Rod was commissioner for a day” on this past weekend. So, here's what former Yankees Alex Rodriguez star would do if he were in charge of Major League Baseball. Do we like any of these changes... (The Spun)

Can't understand why any sport should have illegal defense. Goaltending, yes. Illegal screens, yes. But not for illegal alignments.

I can't stand the shift, but agree. There is nothing the rules should do to stop it. Teams need to just take advantage of the "free" push-bunt base. Even more frustrating than seeing the big shift is watching a player line out right into it when literally half the field is wide open.

They've been using the shift for over 100 years, it's well documented. You know what beats the shift? Guys being able to BUNT. It's a shame this generation of players has very little skill in that area.

They need to speed it up ASAP! Pitchers and batters take entirely too much time to get ready every dam inning.

baseball is dying - the game MUST be faster-paced and have more offense. The vast majority of the time, nothing happens and nobody moves, expect the pitcher throwing a ball. The game needs much more action.
