New LSU President Wade Rousse Comments On Verge Ausberry's Athletic Director Status

Louisiana politics & higher education reporter Piper Hutchinson spoke with new LSU President Wade Rousse on Wednesday and asked about his decision to name Verge Ausberry the permanent Athletic Director.

“I don’t know know what permanent means versus removing the interim.”

Rousse said he doesn’t know very much about Ausberry’s involvement in the Title IX scandal.

“It was important for me to show stability,” Rousse said. “Verge has done a good job up until this point. I really need to dig deeper in terms of what we look like, to make sure we protect that global brand.”

I still have a hard time believing that all of this crap hit the fan because LSU lost a game at home, with 2 freshman tackles, 2 hurt starters on d line, number 1 linebacker out.....the number 2 team in the country. Seriously?
