LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was on the Dan Le Batard show Tuesday and talked about his energy drink consumption in the past before he started his new diet.

"One heartbeat" --- Not for long if you keep drinking Red Bulls at that kind of pace.

Damn, I used to have 1 a day and stopped because I thought eventually my heart would explode. Good thing he supposedly gave them up for lent, maybe he'll chill out and also start eating gumbo with no rice.

I read a case report once about an aortic aneurysm and energy drinks. I'm glad Coach O is still with us.

My old neighbor (early 50's) dropped dead shortly after drinking one. It sounds like this may have been what happened.

Chill on the energy drinks Coach. You got your dream job. Stick around awhile and enjoy it.

I was training a new guy at work and I asked him why he kept missing them in a mixer bottle. He was taking a 20oz? Monster and mixing it with pre work out having 2-3 of these before lunch every day

I rarely drink energy drinks (prefer 5-hour energy), but I remember a decade or so ago Red Bull released a cola. I decided to try it, bought one, opened it in my car and could not put it down. Before I even left the parking lot I had bought a half dozen more and was chain-drinking them. About a month later the FDA pulled it from the market because there was actual cocaine in the cola. Once I found that out it explained why I liked it so much more than any other soda I've ever had.

Coco-Cola pre 1903 had nine milligrams of cocaine in it.Maybe Number 31 is a time traveling amnesiac.
