LSU wide receiver Aaron Anderson declared for the NFL draft on Saturday.

The redshirt junior from Algiers, La., played three seasons at LSU after transferring from Alabama.

Anderson had a breakout season with the Tigers in 2024, playing in all 13 games and catching 61 passes for 884 yards and five touchdowns.

Anderson just finished his redshirt junior season, but played in only nine games with five starts due to injuries. He finished the season with 33 receptions for 398 yards.

Anderson was one of three LSU wide receivers to accept an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl last week.

I get the injury risk, but he's, currently, a 6th rounder. Maybe 5th. Is that worth it?

Wake up call. These kids have no desire to be in college or care about it.

All these kids think they are going to to make it in the NFL. I wish him luck but if he is getting late round draft grades then he might want to have a plan B after the final NFL roster cut.

A year in Lane Kiffen's offense would have improved his draft stock immensely!

He should stay at the college level unless all NIL offers have dried up.
user avatar
Why? Will he be drafted?

This is not a good move by Aaron Anderson. He needs to develop and improve his draft position. He needs to have a better season, where he isn't hurt for half of it. I don't think he is guaranteed to make a roster, but if he stays at LSU, he can live the life for 1 more year, still get paid, and improve his stock.

I guess he is going to make a little more in the NFL than college. NFL rookie min is $840k. He isn't good enough to get that in college.

The "base minimum" salary for an NFL rookie in the NFL in 2025 was $840,000. Now I know that all you posters who mock Anderson for wanting a shot at that measly amount of money think he should do better. Especially since you take home so much money yourselves. What is your salary? How much were you making when you were 20 or 21 years old? Do most of you even have a degree? LMAO

And who's to say something catastrophic doesn't happen that you never see that much money. Bird in the hand.

Algiers is a neighborhood in New Orleans. Algiers is not a city.
