There’s more to the story here - looks like a complete overhaul and honestly, probably needed

Yeah, can we quit with the sensationalistic headlines?

No need to criticize these linemen. They may have been a completely different group with a different coach.

Why do people think of college students as kids? They are now getting paid to do a job and like anyone else they are open to criticism for not preforming that job! They are also old enough to vote and there are plenty of 18-22 year olds serving in the military! Please stop acting like college athletes are toddlers!

I don't think of them as kids. I do think the linemen are being criticized for playing under bad coaching.

The offensive line performance (stretching it a little bit) this past season was simply, offensive!

4/5 star players do not suddenly lose they talent. Poor coaching, poor scheme, or both.

Could also be that they got here, had money for the first time, and simply slacked off because they couldn’t handle it.

Addition by subtraction. Wish them well.

Well they know that now they would be doing sleds in August and actually having to work hard to be a starter

NCAA has become an unrestricted free agency for professional football players. College football is a thing of the past.

With the horrendous display of “blocking” this year by the LSU Oline…..I do not think LSU is at a disadvantage losing some of these players because I think the new sheriff in town is gonna work work work the guys who will play on the Oline in 2026

So was the issue coaching by Brad Davis, or more of a player talent issue?
user avatar
Ponchy Tiger2 months
It can be both. If Davis can't coach and we know he can't, I doubt his talent evaluation is that good either.

The portal for OL looks pretty void of good players if Curne is the #1 rated OL in it.

If you want to figure out what happened here watch and see where he lands. Looking for money another big time program. LSU OL up grade he goes to a lower tier program.

Are any players left at this point?

Not enough is said about the lousy job the offensive line coach did. Expect better results with a real coach. The last one had bad results every year

Probably just checking his market value. These have been relatively high ranked prospects that were terrible this year.
