LSU linebacker Greg Penn will return to the team next season instead of declaring for the NFL Draft, he said on Thursday.

Penn, a junior from Baltimore, Md., started at a linebacker the last two seasons and has appeared in 36 games since his freshman season in 2021.

He made 82 tackles, six tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, and two interceptions this past season.

Glad he is coming back but he needs a lot of work. Too slow for coverage against the RB and TE. Needs to improve on his coverage out of the backfield. He will be good to get another year of experience under his belt otherwise he will end up as a UDFA.
