FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt previewed Saturday’s LSU-Ole Miss matchup on his podcast this week and revealed his pick for the Top-10 showdown in Oxford.

Klatt believes LSU’s defense could be the difference, especially against Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.

“I do know what I’m going to get from Chambliss,” Klatt said. “I think Lane knows what he’s going to get from Chambliss, and because of that, look for a defensive structure from Baker and that LSU defense that is going to try to force Chambliss to beat him from the pocket.”

Klatt also praised LSU’s personnel on defense, pointing to Princely Umanmielen and Whit Weeks as two of the Tigers’ key playmakers.

“I think the defense is exceptional for LSU,” Klatt said. “They’ve got dudes.”

In the end, Klatt picked LSU to leave Oxford with a 28-20 victory.

“I think LSU actually goes in and wins the game,” Klatt said. “I’ve got 28-20. Lane goes back to Ole Miss and gets a win with LSU.”

Klatt previews the game at the 2:50 minute mark below:

I don't understand why so many think that this will be close. Ole Miss has not stopped the run so far against far inferior competition (fun fact...LaTech is statistically far better against the run than Ole Miss so far this year). They're dead last in the SEC in run defense and the pass defense is barely better.

On offense, they can't run the ball.

Again...I don't know why so many "experts" think this will be close.

LSU 35-17. Sam will play and run all over them as well as throw a couple of long completions.
The defense will leave Chambliss all bruised up. He'll probably spend more than a couple minutes in the tent
