Former LSU Heisman Trophy quarterback Jayden Daniels sent out the following message on Thursday to address the No. 5 controversy.

quote:

"I have been locked in on training camp and that's been my number one focus. I have a lot of gratitude for my time at LSU and I'm proud of what my teammates and I accomplished there. Obviously there are issues to be worked out between my team and LSU and my hope is that it will get done privately. My sole personal focus is on Commanders' football. I realize the business of football is unique and I trust this can all be resolved."

If ESPN is picking up on the story, your “team” failed at doing it privately. Your focus ahould be on not becoming a one hit wonder.

Backfired didn't it Jayden? Bet you wish you wouldn't have done that huh?

If you're worried about a college football number, then you're not locked in on training camp.

He could be honored that someone would want to wear the same number that he wore like they admired him and wanted to follow his footsteps. Or he could be petulant.

What Judge in Louisiana is going to rule against LSU if this nonsense ever gets to court?

Nah, he’s wrong for this and for the timing. He knows exactly what’s at stake and how focused these players need to be, especially with the new coaching staff and so many new teammates. I’ve lost some respect for him—he thinks he’s bigger than the brand. It makes sense now why his former teammates talked trash when he left. He’s a prima donna and selfish, no other way to put it.

Everything is all about you Jayden. Always has been . That’s why we lost to FSU twice with you at QB.

Comical that he says he wants to address the issues in private. Your “team” went public and you thought you had the upper hand until the national media dunked on you. Selfish brat actions.

Too late.
