Based on the latest AP Top 25 rankings, four teams from the SEC would make the 12-team College Football Playoff: Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.

The SEC previously had three teams in last week's playoff projection, but Syracuse's upsetting Miami on Saturday allowed the Crimson Tide to slide back in.

Indiana is a joke.

This is not the teams who will actually be in the playoffs. It’s just the AP poll. Bama is expected to be out.

Penn St. would drop below ND if they lose to Oregon in B10 CG.
B10 gets 4 teams in, SEC gets 3., B12 gets 1, Miami gets in if SMU beats Clem, Az St., Boise

oops, counted B12 twice. The 12 team will be a toss up. I do not see ALA getting it though.

This shite is stupid. They should've never done it like this. South Carolina deserves to be in

Why would Boise State (Mountain West) be #4 and Arizona State (Big XII) #12? Don't winners of the P4 conferences get the first four seeds?

Highest ranked conference champions. Boise would have a higher ranking that ASU

This system will remain flawed as long as 13 humans sit in a room and decide who should be in. It's all subjective bs.

Agreed. Go back to BCS and seed top 12 after final BCS calculation

Bama over SC is purely for ratings and viewers. If committee actually does that then we will know where their allegiance lies. With money

How so? Same record and Bama has a win over SC. How is SC in over Bama justifiable? I hate Bama as much as all of you do, but logic has to win out. It pains me to say that.

USCe didn’t lose to Vandy and OU. That’s how

Because if the teams in the scenario were reversed, this is the argument they'd use for Bama to get in............
While Bama indeed beat South Carolina head to head, it was only by 2 points 3 weeks ago. Also, Bama has two loses to .500 teams (both 6-6), the last of which only occurred 8 days ago, and they were embarrassed 24-3 by a team that LSU just destroyed. South Carolina's 3 loses came to all Top25 ranked teams, and SC has also won 8 of their last 9 games.
Just my opinion, but again, if those two teams were reversed with this same argument, Bama would no doubt be in.

Year 3 of new coaches and players. DeBoer in and Kelly out.
