Family Member Accused Of Trying To Extort Tyrann Mathieu For $1.5 Million

Geourvon Sears, a family member of Tyrann Mathieu's has been accused of trying to extort the former LSU star for 1.5 million along with death threats to Mathieu and his family, according to WWLTV.

The NFL player initially blocked Sears on his phone, but Sears reached out to other people close to Mathieu with similar threats, according to the affidavit.

“5 MILLION BY FRIDAY IM DONE TALKING EMAILING TMZ NOW,” one message allegedly said.

“I WANT 1.5 MILLION BY FRIDAY OR I AM GOING TO KILL ALL YOU ALL,” another said, according to court documents.

Mathieu and two unidentified victims listed in the affidavit believed Sears was capable of carrying out the violent threat and went to the police.

This is why I said to all the Saints fans that wanted so badly for the Saints to bring him in, that it doesn't matter what we offer, he'll never come back, I read an interview from a couple years ago where he said he can only visit NO for 2 days, he said it gets dangerous for him because of the jealousy of people that are doing nothing, he talked about how people would figure out exactly where he was because of fans taking pics and immediately putting it on S.M. and they would show up with their hands out, trying to make trouble or both. So sad, people wanting to kill or destroy a man because he made it out, but like Tupac said "That's just the way it is"

If I remember correctly, I believe this exact thing made Trent Richardson go broke very quickly after turning pro. People came out the woodwork to ask him for money and he would just mail off checks to help out. Pretty soon there was nothing left for him.
