Clemson Suspends Projected Starting DT Vic Burley Ahead Of LSU Opener

Clemson could be without one of its projected starting defensive tackles for the time being as the Tigers prepare to open the season against LSU on September 5.

Senior defensive tackle Vic Burley has been suspended indefinitely following an arrest for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning, head coach Dabo Swinney announced.

Burley, a former five-star recruit, was expected to play a significant role on Clemson's defensive line this season.

Burley has appeared in 21 games during his Clemson career, recording 24 tackles over 267 defensive snaps, and made his first career start in last year's bowl game against Penn State.

Swinney had recently praised Burley during fall camp, saying he stood out multiple times during Clemson's final preseason scrimmage.
