During his press conference on Monday, head coach Brian Kelly suggested that wide receiver CJ Daniels could be returning to the team next season.

"All indications are that CJ is going to be back next year," Brian Kelly said.

Daniels transferred to LSU from Liberty last offseason and has been battling a dislocated heal injury throughout the season.

The senior from Lilburn, Ga., has caught 39 passes for 456 yards this season but no touchdowns.

Critics? Daniels has been fairly consistent when he's on the field. Solid possession receiver.

Definitely a big Daniels fan. He’s been a pleasant surprise this year and it’s a shame we couldn’t get him in the end zone. He has been a very reliable target. If we can have him and Anderson return, and get a portal stud or one of those other younger guys to step up, we’ll be in good shape.

He’s a baller. Like all the lsu wrs had a bit of the drops early on. But he is a fighter and I am a big fan.

And also Green as one of our main guys, this could be a fantastic passing game. Hopefully we can get a guy or 2 in the portal for the line and improve the run game.

He is really good. He does so many things that do not show up on the stat sheet. I did not even realize his had a year left.
