On Wednesday, four-star LSU edge rusher commit Damien Shanklin tweeted a subtle recruiting pitch to five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett.

In the tweet, Shanklin included a picture of him with Lockett and fellow LSU five-star commits Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry.

Underwood saw the tweet and endorsed it with a "Missing Piece” response.

Lockett will reveal his college decision on August 7th, with LSU, Texas A&M, Florida State, and Alabama as his final schools.

Yeah, I don’t want to jinx it but we went from can’t develop qbs to burrow, Daniels, nuss, and then what looks and sounds to be like quality young men that are highly rated players. I wish we didn’t have to trade our great defense for great qb play, but forever lsu regardless.
