Multiple sources report that four-star cornerback Ondre Evans has flipped his commitment from LSU to Georgia.

Evans, a 6-0, 183-pound prospect from Nashville, Tenn., originally committed to LSU in June. His departure leaves the Tigers three cornerbacks in the class: Four-stars Ju’Juan Johnson and Cai Bates, and three-star Wallace Foster IV.

LSU has 23 commitments now for 2024.

Steeples and cooks finally getting fired?

Georgia is winning now because they are paying the players the most money. Stoops was just saying what we all know.

Next couple of years a commitment/decommit, will be meaningless.

The word ‘commitment’ has been meaningless for quite some time now. It has a whole new definition. It actually should be called ‘current choice’ or ‘preference’. There is no commitment by these players.

Bigger better deal. LSU was the fail safe.

Flipping means nothing. Whether it’s to LSU or from. What a matters is where that signature goes.

Given our DB situation, I have to ask, what the hell is going on? Why can't we recruit these guys to play in our system. We have plenty playing time to offer to anyone good enough to compete at the SEC level. I would have to guess it is a shorter path to getting on the field at LSU than it is at UGA. Going the portal route for DB's again is not the way. We have to get this fixed.

No player is committed until that signed LOI is faxed into the Athletic office. Until then they are FA's.

I remember when LSU had a steady supply of five star defensive tackles too.

Correct, Steeples and Cooks suck

So how is "overcrowding" handled? How do we say thanks but no thanks to a 3* guy when a 5* guy wants to commit but we're full up?

Exactly how you just said it, no way any staff is turning down a 5 star

Ga is closer to home than LSU. Can’t blame the guy that wants to get developed better, stay closer to momma and auntie, all while getting paid.

Need Bussey to replace losing him. What looked good was having Baites and Evans as our starting corners for a few years. If we lose Baites, oofff
