Four-star defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis from Monroe, LA (Neville HS) announced Tuesday afternoon that he has committed to Alabama.

He chose the Crimson Tide over LSU and TCU.

Mathis is the No. 4 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2017, according to ESPN.

Guess I was wrong on that one! Well, anyone that grows up in Louisiana and would rather play for Alabama than LSU ain't right in the head! Show some pride! I don't know how things will go tomorrow, but if we don't get another recruit this year, fine by me. I want to thank our 21 committed players for manning up deciding to come play for the Tigers!
