Free agent guard Garrett Temple and the Sacramento Kings have agreed to a three-year contract, reports The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal is worth $24 million and includes a player option for the third year, per USA Today's Sam Amick.

Temple, 30, established himself as a solid defensive-minded guard in the Washington Wizards' rotation over the past four years. During the 2015-16 season, he set career-highs in points per game (7.3), rebounds per game (2.7) and games played (80) with Washington.
Temple played at LSU from 2004-2008.

Excellent! I really like to hear about this kind of thing when a player works his butt off and it finally pays off in the end!

Although a terrific defender, especially on Redick, Temple seemed like the biggest weakness on that LSU Final Four team. Wild that he is the only remaining pro from that team.

Didn't think he'd get that much, or for that long, but that's great for him. Proud of this Tiger!

no one could have called this. Temple has proven to be the most durable player from LSU's 2006 final 4 team. an undrafted player, he has continuously gotten better and better while building on his skill set.
