quote:ok I'll concede this but the state is getting screwed on this deal overall.
But you didn't answer the question of how the Chiefs are in the business of real estate. Everything you just posted indicates that's not what they're in. It would be more accurate to say the state of Kansas is getting into the big time real estate business.

How can this be true when they won't own the stadium?
Well the state is giving them $1.8 billion in public funding.
The Chiefs will have to pay 7 million in rent which goes into an account they the Chiefs control to pay for stadium upgrades and other costs. So they are paying rent to themselves.
The Chiefs will retain 100% of revenue from stadium operations (tickets, concessions, parking, suite sales), naming rights and sponsorships, personal seat license sales, mixed-use development operations, and team headquarters and practice facility operations.
Kansas is the landlord who paid for the building, but the tenant keeps all the rent, all the business income, and even controls how the landlord’s rent money gets spent.

Tomlin stated he would rest starters if Packers beat Ravens which would clinch the division for Steelers
"They'll rest select guys," Fittipaldo wrote. "If the result goes the Steelers' way Saturday night there are only so many guys who can rest. You have to field a team and play a game. If I had to guess [T.J.] Watt would be down. Maybe [Aaron] Rodgers. Probably [Cam] Heyward. I'd sit [Alex] Highsmith too.
And yes, I'd feed Johnson 30 times. Keep [Jaylen] Warren and [Kenneth] Gainwell healthy for the playoffs. They can dress, but l would not play them a lot."

It’s been said before, but owners are essentially real estate moguls. The on-field product is secondary to whatever hotels and restaurants and entertainment districts they can manage.
You should watch The Founder about the expansion of McDonalds.
Ray Kroc figured out McDonald’s isn’t in the food business, it’s in the real estate business.
The Chiefs aren't in the football business, they're in the real estate business.

Isn’t that what is already happening? I think this is dumb re negotiating with players every year. Atleast with the NFL when u sign a contract you have to see it out.

The sequel/prequel although a little late, should have been made 10 yrs ago looks to have a stellar class of A list actors.
I've read the book the prequel will be solid gold w/ the early Chicago years and this Otis Wardell character that Hanna is locked in to take down. Not sure how the sequel when Chris gets out of LA and heads to South America, that part kinda slowed some in the book.!
I've read the book twice now and i love it. godfather 2 style.
this will have an A list cast with Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Austin Butler, Adam Driver, Ana de Armas, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Allen White, and Channing Tatum all rumored to be a part of it.

The way the guns sound in Heat is fricking incredible.
also the bank robbery scene is actually used to teach tactical reloading Mann went above and beyond to make sure everything was technically accurate.
Val Kilmer, Robert De Niro, and Tom Sizemore received three months of training from former British SAS (Special Air Service) members, including Andy McNab and Mick Gould.
Kilmer’s proficiency in reloading his Colt Model 733 carbine is so precise that footage of it has reportedly been shown to US Marine recruits at MCRD San Diego and at Fort Bragg to demonstrate proper reload techniques and movement under fire.
Director Michael Mann aimed for extreme realism, using live fire with blanks during rehearsals and recording the actual sounds of gunfire echoing off downtown Los Angeles buildings rather than using sound effects in post-production.
The scene was so realistic that it has been used by the LAPD for training its SWAT units.
