Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops wants the Wildcats fanbase to donate some more money to the program if their not happy with the product that's out there now...
quote:

"Fans have that right (to complain). I just encourage them to donate more, because that’s what those dudes are doing," Stoops said, via On3. “I give it to them. I just encourage them to donate more, because that’s what those dudes are doing. I can promise you Georgia, they bought some pretty good players. You’re allowed to these days. We could use some help.”

As Coach Bryant said on coaching football at Kentucky, "I was coaching the wrong sport". I'm sure UK's basketball collective is just fine and I'm also sure UGA's basketball collective is in the toilet.

Why would they give more money to the football team? Stoops has been at Kentucky since 2012 and had only won 8+ games 3 times. Also coming into this season his SEC record was 32-50. Of you ask me he should donate some of that $9 million a year he makes. Only teams he has a winning record against from the SEC is Vandy, USCjr, and Mizzou. He’s 1-16 vs Top 10 and 12-21 against top 25 teams.

That's why he's begging for more $$$.

They won’t. But they will continue to give Calipari everything he wants. Even though he continues to not live up to his hype.

I certainly don't know the legal particularities of it but do a raffle like I'm sure you've heard of and give away a house or a tour bus or something big like that. Pay for the product and put the rest to buying better players.

Stoops should donate some of that 8.6 million dollar salary to NIL instead of asking the average fan to donate more money.

Well he aint wrong on buying players. It's basically free agency without the salary cap and the hit miss ratio is about 50%. Throwing millions at 17 to 19 year old freshman. What could go wrong?

Surely you’re not that naive to believe that?
