Nick Saban Called Georgia The Best Job In SEC
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
Alabama head coach Nick Saban seems to think very highly of the Georgia football program. In an article by CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, Saban surprisingly calls the Bulldogs head coaching position the best job in the SEC while he was talking about Kirby Smart’s first few months at the job...
quote:

“You never know how people do, but I think he’ll do fine,” Saban said of Smart’s future at UGA. “Personally, Georgia, if it’s not the best job in the conference, it certainly should be.”
Do you agree?

UGA and it's fanbase should be a lot more powerful. I have a feeling they will be the next bama over the next 5-10 years. That is, IF Bama drops off... which is doubtful.

Georgia has unbelievable in state talent and can snatch talent from Florida, S. Carolina, Alabama... Great fan base, great weather, big city following...what's not to like about Georgia? They are hungry. Alabama certainly isn't the best job because of the fan base...they are ruined.. Geaux Tigers

I agree with everything you said about Georgia except for the weather. It gets cold as shite there in the winter.

Bama ruined their fan base and the LSU fan base. Pretty powerful.

Athens is hands-down the best of the SEC college towns, so as far as having to live near the school, I'd agree. Plus, they always seem to have the hype and to have a shot at championships, but it takes 11 years without a conference title to get canned, and without having sniffed a national championship in going on 4 decades, there aren't a lot of expectations at that level. I'd take it over Cinnabon.

But one of the worst game day experiences. I have been to every SEC stadium except Missouri and GA is bad. No where to tailgate, no out of stadium atmosphere. I was very disappointed. It is not on the same level as Florida, SC, Tenn or any of the West Schools.

Florida is.

Yes, Saban puts pressure on Kirby. "I mean, 11-12 wins a season should be a minimal in Athens".
