if that happens i expect scott to fire her

Quite possibly. I know he has to be up to his ears with football, mens basketball, etc., but you'd think he would be at a point to force a staff change.

If he doesn't do that, it's hard for me to see a firing before that first step.
If you didn't know better

You'd think this was on purpose.

I'm in Houston and I still see people wearing mask all of the time. I think many cannot wait for another "emergency". They loved their power to force action on others.

Now that LSU is done for the year, anybody have any updates on potential portal transfers? We need immediate help in quite a few spots.

This changes everything...
When the going gets tough they eat their own. I remember internal issues dating back to the Bailey Landry, Hoover, Jaquish days.

Always seems to me to have been an internal issue with the chemistry and the way the players reacted to the staff. Lots of favoritism in the line ups at any given time. I read on this board over and over, "oh the players love such and such coach". I'm not convinced even remotely that this is the case. Lots of tension between player and staff in the program and has been for a while.

The portal is the way in today's game and if LSU doesn't jump on that train it is going to get infinitely worse than what we are seeing now.

Softball didn’t meet expectations

The glaring weaknesses on the team have been at catcher and second base and of course pitching has taken a nose dive.

LSU had 4 consecutive All Americans in the circle and made some good runs early in this staff's tenure. Once those inherited pitchers were gone, the pitching has not been a strength either and I have not seen one that has gotten better through their careers.

Catching has been bad since Jaquish left in 2017. I know she was possibly a GOAT, but catching has not even been adequate much less average.

Second base has been the other sore spot. It has been bad as long as this staff has been on campus even though LSU had some chances to be very good there a few of those years and refused to get out of the cycle of under performing.

Oh well, 2023 won't be any different I hate to say.
I remember what Trump used to call places like this!

Lunacy. The Left no longer cares what science is.

LSU has reached 80% vaccination rate

Sad day for the players when they have been manipulated into something with no evidence of effectiveness or safety in the name of politics.

re: 2% chance LSU wins the sec west

That's pretty pathetic. LSU rated more than a 2% chance to win the West back in 1992, when the Tigers finished 2-9 in Hallman's second year.

And Bama with Saban didn’t exist.

Based on what I know of California, I find that very hard to believe.

It’s more like what the media tells us. Cali has some pretty strong Red areas. Get out of the big cities and the Blue goes away fast.

After 2011 LSU vs Oregon Game:

Reporter to Kelly: LSU started hot and got some early breaks. When did you know you were in trouble?

Kelly: when I saw those defensive lineman run by me in pregame. We just don’t have guys that look like that.

Classic Kelly and he was right.
Show me don’t tell me. I want to believe!!

It really seems as though 2b and the catcher position have been a very bad recruiting positions

Huge misses in player evaluation. Stubbornness and insistence to play unproductive Seniors contributed heavily to the below average play at theses positions over the last 4 or 5 years. Self inflicted wounds that greatly cost the program.

Hoping 2022 can change but hard to imagine it will.
